Urban Design

Urban design is integral to the design of the physical environment. Our urban design specialists bring together a unique combination of private and public practice, with expertise ranging from masterplanning, preparation of urban design guidelines, design of built form and public domain, to determining development controls in existing town centres.

Trained as architects, with experience working with and in collaboration with government organisations, our urban design specialists also understand the challenges of implementing realistic urban design best practice.

Heritage

AJ+C believes that there must be synergy between conservation and transformation - that the reuse and incorporation of historic buildings into contemporary culture is one of the most rewarding expressions of architecture. Whether it is conventional restoration and reconstruction, adaptive reuse, or projects which combine a heritage component with new work, AJ+C’s qualified and experienced heritage consultants can deliver the highest standards in planning, design, documentation, contract administration and project management.

Interior Design

Enduring interior design is an essential aspect of creating a ’spirit of place’. Involving interior designers in the architectural design process ensures this spirit is retained in the final architectural solution.

The practice’s interiors projects range from landmark public, commercial and office tenancy projects, through residential apartment suites, health and aged care projects, luxury houses, boats and cafés, and public spaces including libraries, theatres and galleries.

Graphic Design

Good graphic design is all about communication. It’s a bit like telling a story. The facts need to be communicated, but it is how you present them that brings life to the story.

We offer comprehensive graphic design services to all of our clients. This includes signage, web design, 3D modelling, photomontage, perspectives, photography, 3D fly-throughs, multimedia presentations, and print design and report production from concept to end product.
