Converting a traditional historic home into a boutique hotel is becoming a trend in Shanghai. China Director of AJ+C, Anne Warr, was approached by the Shanghai Daily for her views. As the author of ‘Shanghai Architecture’, Anne believes the trend is a welcome addition to the bustling city. “These developments retain an element of Shanghai’s historic landscape and make them accessible, so we can all enjoy the buildings,” says Anne.
