ABET warehouse and office
Larapinta, QLD, Australia
The opening of ABET Laminati’s new Queensland warehouse and office coincided with the 50th anniversary of their establishment. The international giant of decorative laminate is renowned for its innovative product range, which includes work by designers Ettore Sottsass and Paola Navone.
The design of the warehouse and office is as contemporary and innovative as ABET’s laminate products, which were incorporated within the design. Several walls are clad with external laminate panels and an operable louvre wall on the western façade controls solar access as well as a feature graphic created by Jackie Dean Photography. The result is a building of distinct identity, in keeping with its heritage as an Italian design company with a contemporary Australian presence.
Allen Jack+Cottier’s Brisbane office provided architectural services, from assisting with site selection through to finishes and fit-out.
