The project was integrated with South Sydney Council’s precinct masterplan, which enabled the proposal of extensive improvements to the public domain, including street widening and realignment, street planting, paving, lighting, underground power, the relocation of an existing mobile phone tower, stormwater improvements and the provision of a hierarchy of public spaces and connections across the site. These improvements have been coordinated with adjacent developments to provide a consistent streetscape throughout the area.

Motto reiterates the high level of amenity that arises from good architecture and sound urban design principles including good solar access and cross-ventilation, a strong feeling of ‘community’ and security through a high level of passive surveillance, visual and acoustic privacy, and strong connectivity between indoor and outdoor living spaces.
