without frontiers
Customs House, Sydney, NSW, Australia
"These buildings are an aid to reinforce communities. They concretise aspirations and ultimately become the measure of change for these communities. This is very real architecture."
Allen Jack+Cottier’s graphics and communications team donated their time and skills to Architects Without Frontiers to plan and design ‘without frontiers’ - a travelling exhibition that traces four of the organisation’s projects (an orphanage in Afghanistan, a youth centre in Malawi, waste facilities for remote communities in Nepal and several tsunami relief projects in Sri Lanka). Freeman Ryan Design also lent their services, designing the invitation, catalogue and multimedia wall on the ground floor. This important exhibition was first displayed at Customs House in Sydney and has since travelled to Federation Square in Melbourne.
