The Waterfront
Homebush Bay, Sydney, NSW, Australia
“The Waterfront is a revolutionary new approach to lifestyle, combining the feeling and atmosphere of a Mediterranean village with all the appointments and activities available at a luxury resort”.
Allen Jack+Cottier has masterplanned, designed and supervised the construction of eight residential and community buildings at Payce Properties’ The Waterfront at Homebush Bay in Sydney’s western suburbs. Of the total of 2 500 apartments to be built at The Waterfront village, 2 000 have been, or will be, designed by Allen Jack+Cottier, bringing total work undertaken by the firm at the site to an estimated value of AUD$300 million.
On completion, The Waterfront will be home to 6 000 people, together with a village centre or piazza with restaurants, art gallery, pool, tennis courts, sports lifestyle club. Whilst the core of the practice’s work on this project has been residential, the wider range of our work involved the masterplanning and foreshore landscaping, street signage, finishes on a number of buildings, and the reworking of The Piazza, commercial centre and the sports and entertainment club.
